The original recipe comes from this blog, and actually came about because I had a tub of cream cheese in my fridge and nothing to do with it.
1 cup of butter, soft but not melted
3/4 cup white sugar
3/4 cup brown sugar
8 ounces cream cheese (usually one full tub)
1 teaspoon vanilla
2 1/4 cup flour
1 teaspoon baking soda
1 teaspoon salt
1 bag chocolate chips (I used mini chocolate chips in mine)
Preheat your oven to 350 Fahrenheit or approx. 175 Celsius
In a bowl, whisk together the butter, white and brown sugar, and the cream cheese.
Add the egg and vanilla.
In a separate bowl, mix together the flour, baking soda, and salt.
Add it to the bowl with the cream cheese in installments.
Mix in your chocolate chips.
Using a tablespoon measure, scoop the dough onto a cookie sheet prepared with parchment paper.
Bake for around 10 minutes until the edges look set.
Voila! Enjoy your yummy, chewy cookies.
