Even as summer draws to its official close (at least for me, September has always meant the start of autumn) the heat wave plaguing our country isn't going anywhere anytime soon. That means most of us are going to have to continue dealing with blazing air conditioning inside, and fog-up-your-glasses heat + humidity outside. I know first hand how hard it can be to dress for temperature changes like this so I put together a post of outfits perfect for the office air conditioning and the sweltering coffee run with the help of the lovely people at Bonobos!

Maxi Skirt // Midi Skirt (on sale!)
Longer skirts are a powerful tool that should not be ignored! They can keep you warmer in the cold office but don't leave you a sweaty mess when you take a lap outside in the heat either. These two skirts in particular are the perfect office-length and add a little texture or color to your wardrobe.

Maxi dresses, a staple in my wardrobe, can be the perfect work day outfit during the summer! This dress in particular has longer sleeves but a lightweight material to help you through those temperature extremes. And, of course, the best tip I can give you for the office is layering! This cardigan is perfect for slipping on when you're shivering inside and leaving at your desk when you take a step outside.

Guys typically don't have as many varied options when it comes to dressing for work but Bonobos is trying to change that! Their mens chinos pants come in several varied styles and fits, not to mention colors, and the lightweight, moisture-wicking, and breathable fabric mean comfort in the chilly office and comfort in the hot outdoors.

Depending on your office environment, short sleeves are a definite possibility to keep you cool for the summer. If not, Bonobos offers a line of long-sleeved dress shirts that are both lightweight and wrinkle-resistant to keep you looking polished throughout your day.

I'd like to thank Bonobos for suggesting this post! I was actually in the market for some new work clothes myself so their timing couldn't have been better. Do you have any tips and tricks for staying cool for the summer?
